Me Bad Blogger

So sorry to have neglected posting for such a long time. My life is very busy right now with four part-time jobs (60 hours per week).

Josiah moved back home with me after Christmas. We enjoy playing music and chess.

Amber and her "crew" are staying with me temporarily. She's relocating here.

So, with 5 extra people in the house, it's wild around here.

One of my missing camera's reappeared mysteriously. I'm glad, but curious as to where it had been. It's an old Nikon SLR, so no good for blogging.

They caught the guy who had been robbing people in the neighborhood, but it's unlikely I'll get anything else back.

I'll check in later when I get some good pictures to show off.

Package Tracking

This is to inform you that the little package Amber has been carrying every day on her postal route is discovered to be---a girl! There will be much shopping for all pink, ruffly, lacey, and fluffy things. And maybe more packages containing those items will have to be carried.

In the Works

My daughter and son-in-law came over this weekend and helped out some. Virgil and Josiah have been living with his sister in Elizabeth, and Josiah has decided to try public school. So I guess they're gone for the winter. So Amber and Dave helped me get my wood stove going. Dave split all this wood by hand (actually, with an axe), and Amber helped him stack it, cleaned out the stove room, and clean out the stove. Then Dave built a fire, and I've kept it going.

Dave also fixed the stairs in the garage (there was an unfortunate accident while Josiah's friend was over for a sleepover one night and three stairs collapsed). He discovered that the first 3 stairs were constructed with nails instead of screws. That's why they came loose.

Anyway, I'm forever grateful for the inspiration to get to work, and hope the momentum continues, as I have lots to do.

Baby News

I'm having trouble posting pictures, but I have to post this news.

I'm going to be a grandma again! Amber will have her third in the spring, so Kylie and Luke will have a wee one to play with.

Also, my niece Ronni, had a little boy Nathan Alexander three weeks ago. I will post a picture of him soon.

Kylie's Craft Table

When asked what she wanted for her birthday, Kylie said, "A craft table!" So that's what she got--complete with crafts. She jumped up and down with joy when I asked her if she wanted us to all sit down and do crafts with her for her birthday. Of course, she'd rather not have to put up with her little brother joining in.

Amber's 24th Birthday

My lovely daughter turned 24 this month. She's such a mature woman, and beautiful, too. I had the grandkids 4 days and nights. They were very glad to see their mommy. Luke wouldn't let go of her.
